Join Clipible as Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

About the Role

As the CTO of Clipible, you will hold complete technical ownership over our media ecosystem. You will lead the architectural design, video processing infrastructure, and mobile/web development strategies that enable users to discover, trim, and share short-form video content at scale. In this equity-compensated executive position, you will act as a co-founder-level technical partner, shaping product direction and driving engineering operations in exchange for a meaningful ownership stake in the company's future.

Key Responsibilities

• System Architecture & Infrastructure: Design and scale a high-concurrency cloud infrastructure capable of real-time video processing, automated media clipping, storage, and dynamic video streaming.
• Technical Strategy & Vision: Establish the company's technology roadmap, evaluating new frameworks, AI/ML tools for video analysis, and cloud services to maintain a competitive market edge.
• Hands-on Product Development: Direct and actively participate in full-stack development across mobile (iOS/Android) and web clients, maintaining high standards for code quality, performance, and low latency.
• Engineering Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and build an agile team of developers, establishing modern CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps workflows.
• Security & Scalability: Implement robust data protection protocols, content safety controls, and scalable database architectures to handle exponential user and video traffic growth.

What We Are Looking For

• Proven Engineering Expertise: Deep experience building and scaling consumer-facing applications, with specific knowledge of media streaming, video encoding/transcoding, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Foundational Leadership: Previous experience as a CTO, Tech Lead, or Principal Architect in an early-stage startup environment.
• Full-Stack & Mobile Proficiency: Mastery of modern web/mobile stacks (e.g., React Native/Flutter, Node.js, Python, Go) and media streaming protocols (HLS/DASH).
• Entrepreneurial Ownership: A problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced startup environments and is committed to building a company from the ground up on an equity-only model.
• Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Ability to balance immediate hands-on coding requirements with long-term technological vision and business goals.
